1. Who we are and what this is
Entrisense is run by Jayarama Krishnan, an individual in California (“we”, “us”). These Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy below are an agreement between you and us. By tapping I agree, or by using Entrisense, you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Entrisense.
2. Who can use it
Entrisense is by invitation only. You must be at least 18 and the person the invitation was for. Bring in only accounts that are yours, or that you have the account holder’s permission to view (for example, a partner’s, with their agreement).
3. An early version
Entrisense is being tested with a small group. It can contain mistakes: figures can be wrong, late or missing, even when they look complete, and may not show your latest transactions. Check anything important against your bank, card company or broker before relying on it.
Projections can be well off. Future, its chances and what-ifs, and any figure about what may happen rest on assumptions (returns, inflation, what you’ll save and spend) that may not hold, and on figures that may themselves be wrong.
We may change, pause or stop any part of Entrisense, or all of it, at any time. If we stop it, we’ll tell you beforehand where we reasonably can, and then delete your data.
4. Information, not advice
Entrisense shows information about your own money: where it has been, where it is, and estimates of where it may be headed. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing in it recommends that you buy, sell or hold anything. We are not a bank or other financial institution, a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax adviser or lawyer, and using Entrisense doesn’t make us your adviser or fiduciary.
Projections are estimates, not promises about the future. Every decision about your money is yours. For advice, talk to a qualified professional.
5. Your login and your data
Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your login; if you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us.
Your data stays yours. You authorize us, and the services we use, to fetch information from the banks and other institutions you connect, on your behalf, and to store and process your data only to run Entrisense for you, as the Privacy Policy describes.
6. Other services
To run Entrisense we use other companies’ services: to connect to banks (today, SimpleFIN), for fund and stock prices, hosting, security and AI. We may add, change or replace these services as Entrisense develops, without asking you again, as long as they’re used only to run Entrisense for you and with the protections the Privacy Policy describes.
Some of them, like SimpleFIN today, you sign up to yourself, under their own terms and fees. We aren’t responsible for these services or for banks, and what they send us may be late, incomplete or wrong.
7. AI
Some features use AI models (today, Claude, made by Anthropic): reading a statement you say yes to, suggesting categories, and Ask, where you ask questions about your money in a conversation.
AI can be wrong, or misunderstand what you meant. A reading of a statement is checked against the statement’s own totals before it’s used. Ask’s figures are worked out by the app from your data, but how your question is read and how the answer is worded come from AI. Check anything important.
8. Using it fairly
Don’t try to get into anyone else’s data or into our systems, test their security without our permission, copy or take apart the app, overload it, use it or its answers to build or train AI models, upload anything you don’t have the right to, or use Entrisense for anything unlawful. We may suspend or end a login that does.
9. Free for now, and as is
Entrisense is free while we test it. We may charge for it, or for some features, in future. If we do, we’ll tell you beforehand, and you’ll pay only if you choose to.
Entrisense is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
10. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of money, investments, profits or data, arising from Entrisense or from decisions you make using it, even if we were told such a loss was possible. Our total liability for any claim about Entrisense is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us for Entrisense in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for fraud or for harm caused on purpose or by gross negligence.
11. If you misuse it
If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or misused Entrisense, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
12. What’s ours
Entrisense, its software, design and name belong to us; you may use it under these terms. Your data stays yours. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything for them.
13. Leaving
You can stop using Entrisense at any time, and You → Delete my account removes your login and your data. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop Entrisense. Sections 4 and 9 to 15 still apply after you leave.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the app shows them again and asks you to accept them before you continue. If you don’t, you can delete your account.
15. Law and disputes
California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a problem comes up, tell us first and we’ll try to sort it out together. If we can’t, any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts in California, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part isn’t giving it up. You can’t transfer your login or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to a company we set up to run Entrisense, or to whoever takes Entrisense on, and we’ll tell you if we do. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Entrisense.
